Terms and conditions
Subject to Change
Acceptance of Terms By completing a booking on our website, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. These terms constitute a legal agreement between you and RCAC (Recovery Coach Academy Canada), and apply to all course registrations, whether individual or group.
Eligibility You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into binding contracts to register for an RCAC course. Some courses may have additional prerequisites, which will be clearly listed in the course description.
Attendance and Certification Full attendance and active participation are required for course completion and certification.
If a participant misses more than 10% of the course content, they may not be eligible for certification.
RCAC reserves the right to withhold certification for conduct deemed inappropriate or disruptive.
Use of Materials All course content, materials, and intellectual property remain the property of RCAC.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or publicly display any course materials without prior written permission from RCAC.
Privacy Personal information provided during the registration process is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws.
RCAC may use your contact information to send course-related updates and post-training resources.
Code of Conduct Participants are expected to behave respectfully, professionally, and inclusively at all times. RCAC reserves the right to remove any participant who violates this code, without refund.
Vulnerable Sector Check
Certain RCAC courses require participants to successfully complete a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) as a condition of participation.
Participants must provide a valid (completed within 12 months) and satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check prior to the commencement of training, or within a timeframe specified by RCAC. Failure to do so may result in removal from the course and ineligibility to proceed with training or certification.
RCAC retains sole and absolute discretion in determining eligibility to attend training based on the results of a Vulnerable Sector Check. This determination may consider factors including, but not limited to, the nature and severity of any charges or convictions, and the length of time elapsed since the most recent charge or conviction.
All information provided in connection with a Vulnerable Sector Check will be handled in accordance with RCAC’s Privacy Policy and applicable privacy legislation.
Limitation of Liability RCAC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in a course. Our liability is limited to the amount paid, if any, for the course registration.
Amendments These Terms and Conditions may be updated periodically. The version applicable at the time of your booking will govern your registration.
